BioOne and the Entomological Society of America (ESA) extend partnership to preserve and disseminate centuries of entomological research -

Non-profit publisher BioOne has expanded its partnership with the Entomological Society of America (ESA) to offer an extensive collection of over 160 eBooks in insect science through the BioOne Digital Library.

The collaboration between BioOne and ESA aims to source, digitize, and provide fully searchable access to critical books from ESA's extensive catalog. This joint effort reflects their shared commitment to enhancing the accessibility of scientific research, while preserving over a century's worth of natural history and entomological knowledge. The ESA eBook Collection encompasses a wide range of subjects, including agricultural entomology, pest management, insect ecology, and biodiversity.

Libraries and institutions can now license the ESA eBook Collection through a one-time purchase model directly from BioOne. This partnership not only broadens access to essential ESA titles but also addresses the challenge of locating these valuable resources for libraries.

The ESA eBook Collection on BioOne Digital Library offers researchers, students, and enthusiasts unprecedented access to an extensive repository of entomological research. Previously hard-to-find titles, including the Handbook of Small Grain Insects, Bees and Crop Pollination: Crises, Crossroads, Conservation, and The Larval Ixodid Ticks of the Eastern United States, are now available in digital format for the first time.

The collaboration between BioOne and ESA demonstrates their shared commitment to advancing entomological research and promoting the dissemination of scientific knowledge. By digitizing and preserving these valuable resources, they are ensuring that future generations of researchers have access to a wealth of information that spans over a century of entomological scholarship.
