BMJ announces continued partnership with Saudi government and healthcare institutions -

Medical knowledge provider BMJ has announced its continued partnership with the Saudi government and healthcare institutions to help improve the quality of healthcare throughout the Kingdom.

BMJ experts will be at Saudi Health 2015, Riyadh, May 18-20, to talk about the key healthcare challenges facing the Kingdom, and how BMJ can help through joint research and knowledge sharing.

Last year, BMJ signed a five-year partnership agreement with the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia to provide open access to a selection of BMJ's award-winning evidence-based journals, learning, decision-support and quality improvement resources for health professionals at Ministry hospitals and clinics.

The partnership forms part of the Saudi government's 20-year workforce transformation strategy to improve the consistency and quality of healthcare throughout the Kingdom, by helping health professionals stay up-to-date with the latest advances in the field of medicine.

Over 150,000 of health professionals across the Kingdom have access to BMJ's resources to improve their knowledge and the care they deliver for their patients.

Earlier this year, BMJ became a formal partner in the UK All- Party Parliamentary Group on Bioscience and Technology in Healthcare and hosted Saudi business leaders for the Saudi British Joint Business Council (SBJBC) Biannual Meeting in London.

BMJ is also in discussions with the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, King Abdulla bin Abdulaziz University Hospital of Princess Nora bint Abdulrahman University, the National Guard Health Affairs and the Ministry of Defence and Aviation.
