BMJ, a global leader in healthcare knowledge provision, has announced that BMJ Impact Analytics is now available to all institutions within Bibliosan, Italy's national healthcare and research consortium.
Under this newly established agreement, Bibliosan members gain access to BMJ Impact Analytics, a groundbreaking research impact tool tailored specifically for health and social care. This collaboration underscores Bibliosan's commitment to fostering a culture of responsible impact assessment in research endeavors.
Developed in partnership with innovative startup Overton, BMJ Impact Analytics stands as the premier tool for tracking and sharing the real-world impact of medical and health research. By leveraging sophisticated algorithms, it enables academic institutions and funders to pinpoint instances where research has influenced clinical guidance and health policies on a global scale. Notably, the tool establishes direct connections to patient outcomes by referencing BMJ's leading decision support tool, BMJ Best Practice, and provides citations within their relevant context.
This partnership represents an extension of BMJ's commitment to providing valuable resources to Bibliosan members. In addition to BMJ Impact Analytics, Bibliosan members already benefit from access to BMJ Best Practice and a selection of high-impact journals, including The BMJ, Gut, Heart, and BMJ Case Reports, among others.
