BMJ Journals, a division of The BMJ Group, has announced a new publishing deal with Paediatric and Perinatal Drug Therapy (PPDT). Under the deal, the journal will transfer to BMJ Journals from its current publisher - Informa Healthcare - from July 2008.
BMJ Journals will help expand the readership base and impact of the journal. The publisher will combine PPDT with Archives of Diseases in Childhood, which it jointly owns with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. Each journal will add value to the other and help increase the recognition of the importance of paediatric clinical pharmacology. The first combined issue of Archives of Diseases in Childhood and Paediatric and Perinatal Drug Therapy will be published towards the end of 2008.
An international peer-reviewed journal, Paediatric and Perinatal Drug Therapy covers research on aspects of drug therapy in paediatric patients of all ages (fetus, neonate, infant, child and adolescent). The journal publishes a wide variety of material including original articles, reviews, case reports, short communications, editorials and letters to the editor.
