Digital content services provider Ingram Digital, US, has announced that it has been selected by BookMasters, Inc. to enhance its e-content capabilities with next generation digital asset management technology as well as tools for content discovery, sampling and marketing online. With a 40-year legacy in book printing, fulfillment and distribution, BookMasters acts as a full-service partner to publishers.
The agreement with Ingram Digital enables BookMasters to offer digital services alongside its manufacturing and distribution services. BookMasters customers will be able to utilise Ingram Digital's digital asset management and distribution platform, CoreSource, to streamline file digitisation, format conversion and distribution to multiple channels. In addition, BookMasters will use Ingram Digital's Retail Solutions for secure and efficient e-book fulfillment.
Ingram Digital will also provide BookMasters' customers with the ability to make print books searchable in order to drive content discovery and sales online. Ingram Digital's 'Browse and Buy' widget, a tool that enables publishers to leverage Web 2.0 technology to create awareness for their products, will also be available to BookMasters' publisher clients. The agreement between the companies will make up to 23,000 titles available in digital formats from BookMasters' roster of STM, trade and university publishers.
