Bowker merges PubTrack and BML brands to create Bowker Market Research -

Bibliographic information management solutions provider Bowker, US, has merged the US-based PubTrack Consumer brand with UK-based Book Marketing Limited (BML) under a new global brand named Bowker Market Research. Products and services coming together under Bowker Market Research are the newly merged US and UK consumer research products, industry statistics, UK’s Book Marketing Society, and US bibliographic statistics.

The day-to-day operations of the team will be headed up by Jo Henry as Director of Bowker Market Research. Henry has been leading BML since 1996 and has played a pivotal role in its integration in Bowker since its acquisition in 2009. She will report to Kelly Gallagher, vice president, Bowker Market Research, who will continue to set the overall business intelligence strategy. Bowker is an affiliated business of ProQuest.

Earlier this month Bowker Market Research released the initial wave of results from its first major global project: a landmark Global e-Book Monitor, which tracks the adoption of and attitudes toward e-books in 10 major world markets. Two additional market research projects will be launched in Australia and Canada later this year.
