Brill celebrates longstanding partnerships with key Chinese publishing partners at 22nd Beijing International Book Fair -

Academic publisher Brill celebrated its longstanding partnerships with key Chinese publishing partners, including the 10th year anniversary with Social Sciences Academic Press (SSAP) and Peking University Press (PUP), at the 22nd Beijing International Book Fair, held August 26-30. Several events took place to highlight this special occasion, including a live interview between Xie Shouguang, President of SSAP, and Brill CEO Herman Pabbruwe.

The same day a Strategic Cooperation Agreement was signed between Brill and Zhonghua Book Company under the China Publishing Group, followed by a live interview between Li Yan, Vice President of the China Publishing Group, and Brill CEO. The Brill reception festively highlighted the partnerships and Brill's developments in Asia, including the opening of its Singapore office and its cooperation with the Charlesworth Group in China.

Founded in 1985, Social Sciences Academic Press, the publishing wing of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, is one of China's premium academic publishers specializing in books, journals, serial publications and digital products in the humanities and the social sciences. In collaboration with its many partners in the Asia Pacific Region, Europe and North America, Social Sciences Academic Press has co-published the English, Japanese, Russian and Korean editions of many outstanding works by Chinese scholars.

Established in 1902, Peking University Press was the very first Chinese university press. Now it is one of the largest academic and educational publishers in China, with more than 1700 new titles published per year and 4000 titles in print. PUP is an integral part of Peking University. It has established relationship with publishers from scores of countries and regions in copyrights trading and co-publishing.
