Academic publisher Brill joins the International Publishers Copyright Protection Coalition in China to support efforts to create awareness about intellectual property rights and enter into dialogue with important stakeholders.
The International Publishers Copyright Protection Coalition in China (IPCC), celebrating its 5th anniversary, acts as a spokesperson for international publishers active in China and pro-actively enters into dialogue with different stakeholders in the public and private sector. Brill joined as the most recent 17th member and will be represented by Chinese speaking Legal Counsel, Mieke de Vries Robbé, and Liesbeth Kanis, Chief Representative and Business Development Manager Asia, based in Singapore.
De Vries Robbé sees the membership of IPCC as a key step in the development of Brill's activities in China.
IPCC just signed an important Memorandum of Understanding with the Alibaba Group to actively collaborate on copyright infringement and create awareness of Intellectual Property Rights.
