Library automation solutions provider Ex Libris Group has announced that the Library Service Center for Baden-Württemberg (BSZ) in Germany has decided to participate in the Ex Libris Alma Early Adopter Program for libraries in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
The BSZ will actively support the launch of the next-generation library system of the members of the Southwest German Library Network (SWB) consortia who have already chosen Alma. Additionally, together with Ex Libris, the BSZ will develop central services based on the Alma Network Zone for consortium members.
The Bibliotheksservice-Zentrum Baden-Württemberg (BSZ) (Library Service Centre Baden-Wuerttemberg) is an IT service provider for academic and public libraries, archives, and museums. It offers databases, portals, support, hosting, and other services. The BSZ is based in the Ministry of Science, Research and Art of Baden-Württemberg. Founded in Constance in 1996, it was the result of merging the central catalogue of Baden-Württemberg and the development group for an integrated library management system (LMS).
