CABI has entered into a three‑year publication agreement with the Centre National Universitaire de Documentation Scientifique et Technique (CNUDST) in Tunisia. Under the agreement, author fees are fully covered for publishing in CABI’s journals.
The CABI journals portfolio includes four fully open access titles and one hybrid journal. For the hybrid journal, corresponding authors affiliated with Tunisian institutions that are members of the CNUDST consortium can choose between open access publication or the traditional model, depending on their preference.
A representative from CNUDST noted that the agreement allows researchers in Tunisia to publish in CABI’s journals without financial barriers. They emphasized that CABI’s commitment to diverse and inclusive authorship helps integrate Tunisian research into the global community by enhancing its visibility.
Eligible journals under the agreement include:
• CABI Agriculture and Bioscience
• European Journal of Horticultural Science
CABI stated that the collaboration with CNUDST is intended to expand the reach and impact of Tunisian researchers’ work. Erika Newton, Journals Publisher at CABI, explained that the organization values the opportunity to support new authors from Tunisia and highlighted the contribution of Ramzi Mansour from the University of Carthage, a CNUDST member, who serves on the editorial board of CABI Agriculture and Bioscience.
This agreement is the second open access institutional arrangement related to CABI’s journals. It reflects the growing influence of the journals portfolio, which complements CABI’s broader publications, including CAB Abstracts.
