Life sciences software provider CambridgeSoft, US, and Imaginatik have announced the launch of ChemBioConnect, a new tool for collaborating online in large groups. The tool is projected to allow scientists to draw, view, edit, archive and search chemical structures and biological systems in a secure, robust collaboration and idea management environment.
The software solution, which is being announced in conjunction with the CambridgeSoft Conference and User Meeting, seeks to allow for collaborative problem-solving among scientists. It does so by combining CambridgeSoft's chemically intelligent visual toolsets with Imaginatik's innovation and idea management platform.
Targeted at the needs of research and development professionals in the areas of pharmaceuticals, bioscience, biotechnology, chemistry and food science, the ChemBioConnect offering was developed in close collaboration with Pfizer, Inc. Pfizer leveraged its experience with Imaginatik's Idea Central and CambridgeSoft's ChemBioDraw products to help define the functionality of the offering. Pfizer researchers have been using the ChemBioConnect solution for several months.
ChemBioConnect is being sold by Imaginatik with support from CambridgeSoft.
