Canadian Science Publishing and Canadian Black Scientist Network formalize three‑year partnership -

Canadian Science Publishing (CSP) and the Canadian Black Scientist Network (CBSN) have signed a three‑year memorandum of understanding to strengthen collaboration and support Black scientists in Canada. The agreement builds on a relationship established in 2024 and reflects a shared commitment to advancing inclusive research practices.

CSP, a not‑for‑profit publisher of scientific journals, works with CBSN members as authors, guest editors, and reviewers across its portfolio. The renewed partnership includes initiatives such as webinars, workshops, and resources for early‑career CBSN members to better understand publication and peer review processes. It also supports new collections and symposium proposals from CBSN members and identifies researchers for editorial board participation.

The collaboration covers all journals in the CSP portfolio and includes engagement with CBSN’s annual meeting. CSP acknowledged the contributions of past president Dr. Maydianne Andrade, current president Dr. Larry Goodridge, and incoming president Dr. Abimbola Saka in developing the agreement.
