Canadian Science Publishing (CSP) and the Canadian Society of Zoologists (CSZ) have expanded their partnership through a new three-year memorandum of understanding aimed at supporting zoological research and the broader scientific community.
The renewed agreement builds on more than five years of collaboration between the two organizations and broadens the partnership to include additional CSP journals. The expanded arrangement is intended to create new opportunities for engagement among CSZ members and support the advancement of zoological scholarship.
The renewed partnership now includes six CSP journals:
• Contaminants, Environment, and Society
• Canadian Journal of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences
• Biochemistry and Cell Biology
• Genome
The journals cover a wide range of disciplines related to zoological research, including ecology, evolution, genetics, aquatic sciences, environmental studies, and Arctic research.
As part of the agreement, CSP will provide webinars, workshops, and educational resources to help CSZ members better understand scholarly publishing and peer review processes, with particular attention to early-career researchers. The publisher will also support the development of new research collections and symposium-related publishing initiatives while continuing to engage with the society's Annual Scientific Meeting.
The expanded collaboration reflects the organizations' shared commitment to strengthening research, education, and professional development opportunities within the zoological sciences community.
