Canadian Science Publishing (CSP), an independent, not-for-profit scholarly publisher, and the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering (CSME), a constituent society of the Engineering Institute of Canada that offers a wide range of professional development activities for mechanical engineers and students with common fields of interest, have announced that the organisations have reached an agreement for CSP to acquire Transactions of the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering.
Transactions of the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering is a peer-reviewed journal that has been published quarterly since 1972. Transactions of the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering is dedicated to the broad field of mechanical engineering. As part of this acquisition, the Executive Editor-in-Chief of CSP and the CSME will work together to develop an updated journal scope and expand the journal's editorial board to reflect the core and emerging areas of mechanical engineering. This includes the recent appointment of Dr. Marius Paraschivoiu of Concordia University as Editor of the journal.
The CSME will see to the production of the last issue of 2017. Effective immediately, all new submissions to the journal will be managed by CSP, who will manage all aspects of publishing and distribution for the 2018 and future volume years. CSP has also launched a new website for general information on Transactions of the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering, including updated Instructions to Authors and information about the Editorial Board.
