Canadian Science Publishing joins the Open Access Scholarly Publishing Association -

Canadian Science Publishing (CSP) has announced its membership in the Open Access Scholarly Publishing Association (OASPA).

CSP’s application to the OASPA Membership Committee highlights its evolving achievements and collected efforts toward being a publisher of choice. These efforts have also positioned CSP to meet the OASPA Membership Criteria; the OASPA has endorsed that CSP operates with integrity and is genuinely committed to open access (OA) publishing.

The OASPA is a membership organization that aims to promote best practices for OA scholarly communications and ethical standards of publishing. The Association comprises a diverse community of organizations that have undergone the rigorous application review process of the OASPA. Together, this community is engaged in open scholarship; aiming to advance OA and ensure a diverse, vibrant, and sustainable OA landscape.

As a not-for-profit and Canada’s largest publisher of scientific journals, CSP is committed to leading the way for sustainable OA practices nationally, and beyond. Membership in the OASPA will help CSP expand its global OA network; engage with other publishers that are committed to OA; strengthen its advocacy for freely accessible scholarly communications; and continue to demonstrate the integrity of its peer-reviewed journals.
