Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research (CCR) has announced that the Society of Cannabis Clinicians (SCC) has named CCR as its official journal. The SCC is a non-profit educational and scientific society of physicians and healthcare professionals dedicated to the education and research support of cannabis for medical use. Its mission is to unite members of the various medical specialties and allied professionals with this common purpose.
Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research is the premier journal dedicated to the scientific, medical, and psychosocial exploration of clinical cannabis, cannabinoids, and the biochemical mechanisms of endocannabinoids. The journal publishes a broad range of human and animal studies including basic and translational research; clinical studies; behavioural, social, and epidemiological issues; and ethical, legal, and regulatory controversies. Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research is indexed in leading databases such as PubMed Central, EMBASE/Excerpta Medica, Scopus, and ProQuest.
It is expected that this collaboration between the SCC and Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research will greatly contribute to advance the understanding of the medical use of cannabis and benefit a whole community of medical specialists and allied professionals. The journal is also the official journal of the International Cannabinoid Research Society (ICRS), and works in collaboration with the International Association for Cannabinoid Medicines (IACM) and Fundación CANNA.
