Future Science Ltd, part of Future Science Group, UK, has announced that its journal Carbon Management has been selected for coverage by ISI. Beginning with volume 1 (2010), Carbon Management will be indexed and abstracted in Science Citation Index Expanded (also known as SciSearch®); Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition; Social Sciences Citation Index; Journal Citation Reports/ Social Sciences Edition; and Current Contents®/Social and Behavioral Sciences.
Maintained by Thomson Scientific, ISI (Institute for Scientific Information) offers bibliographic databases covering thousands of academic journals, including a continuation of its long-time print-based indexing service the Science Citation Index (SCI), as well as the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), and the Arts and Humanities Citation Index (AHCI). All of these are available via ISI's Web of Knowledge database service. This database allows a researcher to identify which articles have been cited most frequently, and who has cited them.
Carbon Management is published on a bi-monthly basis in print and online formats on a rapid publication basis, with articles subject to peer review by three independent assessors. The journal covers opportunities for carbon management throughout the whole carbon cycle, including technological and engineering innovations for carbon sequestration, as well as the role of natural processes. Plans aimed at managing and reducing emitted carbon, such as carbon accounting initiatives, also feature.
Coverage of the journal is directed by two Senior Editors and an extensive international advisory panel. The two Senior Editors are Richard Houghton (Woods Hole Research Center, MA, USA) and Shobhakar Dhakal (Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand).
