Open access publisher BMC, part of Springer Nature, has announced that Cardio-Oncology is now the official journal of the International Cardio-Oncology Society (ICOS). This partnership will expand and advance the understanding of cardiac complications of cancer treatments by providing society members a platform for publication of original, peer-reviewed articles in the emerging field of study and research in cardio-oncology.
Cardio-Oncology claims to be the only journal devoted exclusively to this emerging specialty. The journal provides an international forum for communicating the latest findings and state-of-the-art reviews, filling a critical gap in the science and clinical practice of this important field. It serves as an essential reading for basic researchers, drug developers, adult and pediatric onco-hematologists, cardiologists, radiologists, surgical oncologists, internists, geneticists, epidemiologists, and other healthcare scientists and providers.
