CAS, a division of the American Chemical Society specializing in scientific knowledge management, has expanded its collaboration with Charles River Laboratories International, Inc., a global leader in non-clinical drug discovery and development. The partnership aims to advance scientific innovation by integrating CAS technology solutions into Charles River’s research workflows.
Building on a longstanding relationship, CAS and Charles River will co-develop new processes to optimize the use of CAS SciFinder® and other scientific tools in drug discovery. A dedicated task force will oversee regular engagement between the organizations, providing feedback to shape future developments.
The partnership highlights the vital role of contract research organizations (CROs) in accelerating drug development. CAS continues to enhance its technology offerings to meet industry needs, with recent advancements including improved retrosynthesis functionality, expanded analytical methods and formulations content, and the introduction of CAS BioFinder™ for life sciences research.
