Causaly has announced a partnership with Sage that enables its AI agents to read the full text of Sage journal articles. The collaboration provides access to more than 400 Sage and Mary Ann Liebert journals in the life sciences, allowing customers to derive insights directly within the Causaly platform from content they already license.
Marco Costa, COO at Causaly, stated that the integration responds to customer demand for a single platform combining evidence and structured scientific reasoning. He explained that when agents analyze full papers first and highlight relevant evidence within research workflows, scientists can work with greater confidence and efficiency.
The integration allows Causaly’s agents to draw on complete articles, including methods, results tables, and supporting data. This provides researchers with methodological context and statistical findings within the same workflow.
Sage full‑text access is available to Causaly customers as an add‑on to their existing subscriptions. Subscribers can link directly from Causaly’s evidence view to the full article on Sage’s platform. For customers without a Sage subscription, the platform provides a snapshot of the article with an option to purchase access.
The partnership also addresses inefficiencies in how researchers acquire literature. By running full‑text relevance analysis before linking out, Causaly enables customers to assess an article’s value before using their subscription or purchasing it, reducing unnecessary costs and accelerating research outcomes.
Bob Howard, Executive VP of global journals at Sage, noted that the collaboration extends Sage’s reach by embedding its content within Causaly’s AI platform. He emphasized that combining access with intelligence supports researchers in their work by placing both in one environment.
