Copyright Clearance Center (CCC), a leader in advancing copyright and powering innovation, has entered into an integration agreement with Technology from Sage, a division of Sage specializing in library technology.
The integration enables academic institutions using both CCC’s Annual Copyright License for Higher Education and Talis to verify CCC annual license coverage or acquire copyright permissions from CCC via its Pay-Per-Use Permissions services directly within the Talis platform. By embedding these capabilities, the agreement minimizes manual steps, reduces the number of interfaces, and shortens the time required to secure copyright permissions for course materials.
Talis connects faculty and students to library holdings within course resource lists and integrates with any library system to support acquisitions and compliance workflows. CCC’s licensing tools, already used by more than 1,000 colleges and universities, will now be accessible directly through Talis, further simplifying the management of copyrighted resources.
CCC’s broader portfolio includes services such as Pay-Per-Use Permissions, RightFind Curriculum, Get It Now, and the Annual Copyright License for Student Assessments. The integration expands its academic offerings while supporting faculty and librarians in improving course delivery and maintaining compliance.
