Licensing solutions provider Copyright Clearance Center, Inc. (CCC), US, has renewed its agreement with The Charlesworth Group to help CCC expand services into Chinese language rights licensing. The Charlesworth Group and CCC helps Chinese publishers reach new global secondary rights markets and better understand copyright and licensing opportunities.
As experts in the Chinese market, The Charlesworth Group provides the knowledge and means for CCC to expand its existing services and open up new market opportunities through building links with Chinese institutions.
The renewal of the agreement follows the signing up of major Chinese publishers such as Science Press, The Chinese Medical Association and Foreign Language Press, and a healthy pipeline of Chinese publishers who are further interested in secondary rights opportunities with CCC. The Charlesworth Group help educate Chinese publishers and support the brand development and local conference attending for CCC, as well as supporting key visits by CCC staff to China.
CCC has been creating rights licensing solutions to help rights holders increase royalties for content, extending their reach into global corporate and academic markets and providing tools to more efficiently manage their permissions business. It helps publishers generate revenues from the reuse of their work, expand into new markets, explore new business models, and also track the reuse of their content.
