CCC to host LinkedIn Live on responsible AI governance and copyright in practice -

CCC (Copyright Clearance Center) will host a LinkedIn Live session titled 'Responsible AI in Practice: Navigating Risk, Governance, and Copyright' on October 30 at 10:00 a.m. ET. The event will feature Oliver Patel, Head of Enterprise AI Governance at AstraZeneca, and Roanie Levy, Licensing and Legal Advisor at CCC.

The session will examine organizational approaches to responsible AI, focusing on risk management, governance, and copyright. Patel, author of the forthcoming Fundamentals of AI Governance, will outline practical frameworks that align AI initiatives with compliance and ethical standards. Discussion will cover legal, ethical, and commercial stakes of responsible AI development, including how copyright intersects with governance and compliance strategies.

The program follows CCC’s September 2025 LinkedIn Live discussion, AI & Copyright: Recent Litigation Themes, which reviewed current legal cases and court perspectives on market impact, data sources, guardrails, and evolving theories related to transformative use in AI systems.

CCC continues to support copyright and licensing through educational programming, thought leadership resources, and the AI, Copyright & Licensing hub. In 2024, the organization introduced AI rights for internal corporate use within the Annual Copyright License (ACL), providing harmonized permissions for integrating copyrighted content in AI systems while compensating rightsholders. In 2025, CCC launched a license enabling external use of copyrighted works for AI systems training.
