Copyright Clearance Center, Inc. (CCC), a global licensing and content solutions organisation, will be integrating Altmetric data into its cloud-based RightFind™ content workflow solution that offers immediate, easy access to a full range of Scientific, Technical, and Medical (STM) content. The integration will begin this month as part of a pilot program with several customers.
Altmetric tracks the online coverage and discussion surrounding published academic research. Its data gives publishers, authors, funders and institutions a more complete picture of how policy makers, academics and the general public are engaging with their scholarly outputs via a range of sources including the mainstream media, blogs, Wikipedia, social networking sites, and post-publication peer-review forums.
CCC recently announced other enhancements to RightFind, including easier ordering from Google Scholar and PubMed, the ability to find resources by subject, and quicker access to content.
