Education company Cengage Learning has announced a new partnership with Pathbrite, a leading Portfolio Learning Platform. Students will now gain access to Pathbrite's best-in-class e-portfolio in Cengage Learning's course solutions. The addition of an e-portfolio to MindTap's high quality course content differentiates it as the only truly comprehensive student centric learning platform in the market. Cengage Learning will also be making an investment in Pathbrite and Pathbrite will become Cengage's preferred partner for institutional-wide portfolio deployments.
The online portfolio will allow students to demonstrate completion of assignments for graduation, accreditation and job placement, and enable instructors to review student progress. Further, Pathbrite's e-portfolio facilitates the exchange of student created artifacts with the instructor in response to course assignments. It allows for materials to be exchanged as assignments, tagged, and coursework stored automatically so that the student is constantly building a portfolio of work just by completing assignments.
With a similar portfolio for administrators, faculty and institutions can easily report on student accomplishment to illustrate how their students perform against accreditation standards.
Pathbrite's e-portfolio will be incorporated across over 300 MindTap courses for Fall 2015.
