Educational content, software and services company Cengage Learning has announced a two-year partnership with Southwestern College Professional Studies in Kansas to provide Course360 general education online courses and to develop custom curriculum for new online courses. Course360 provides a flexible online course solution for Southwestern that uses the expertise of leading subject matter experts and the resources of Cengage Learning to design and customise every aspect of an online course, making it unique to the institution.
Through this new partnership, Southwestern College Professional Studies will adopt 32 Course360 courses for their online general education classes over the next two years. All courses will be accessible via Southwestern College's LMS, Blackboard.
Additionally, Cengage Learning will work with Southwestern College Professional Studies to develop five new online courses that are tailored to their specific needs. The custom curriculum for each of the five courses will include instructor resources; a syllabus with course descriptions, outcomes and readings; graded and non-graded activities; lessons that match course and learning objectives; and assessments, among other features. After courses have been designed and implemented, Cengage Learning will continue to provide valuable training, advice and other services for faculty at Southwestern College Professional Studies.
