Cengage Learning and Advanced Instructional Systems, Inc. dba WebAssign have announced an agreement in principle to resolve an ongoing dispute regarding rights to intellectual property.
The terms of the agreement are confidential but they assure the continued delivery of effective learning solutions, customer and technical support and services that Cengage and WebAssign mutually provide to faculty and students.
For over 10 years, Cengage Learning and WebAssign have partnered to deliver trusted and proven Cengage content to students and instructors, using a unique interactive online homework solution, Enhanced WebAssign, that improves student outcomes in quantitative disciplines. The agreement affirms the continuity of the partnership to leverage the Enhanced WebAssign instructional platform and Cengage's unique content in mathematics, statistics, physics and astronomy courses, including the market-leading Stewart Calculus franchise.
