Cengage Learning, US-based provider of teaching, learning and research solutions, and iChemLabs LLC, the developer of the ChemDoodle chemical drawing programme, have announced the integration of the HTML5 ChemDoodle Web Components into Cengage Learning's e-learning products for chemistry. The ChemDoodle Web Components seek to introduce users to a next generation, HTML5 experience with high quality graphics and interaction for chemical information in 2D and 3D.
Cengage views the move as an upgrade to its tools that will allow students to more effectively engage in the molecular world of chemistry, making its drawing tools even more student-friendly. The partnership is seen to allow educational and scientific content to be deployed across mobile devices in addition to traditional web platforms in the highest quality.
Faculty can expect to have new problem types available to them as a result of this integration, and students will have upgraded tools for an improved user experience.
