Publishing solutions provider The Charlesworth Group, UK, has announced that its AutoProof solution has been integrated with Aries Systems Preprint Manager production tracking system. Developed exclusively by Charlesworth, the AutoProof system allows publishers to create page proofs from their own desk top in just a few minutes. The integration of AutoProof with Preprint Manager enables effective and efficient workflow control of high-value documents such as journal manuscripts.
Using this capability, Preprint Manager can automatically deposit styled Word manuscripts into the Charlesworth AutoProof system for composition and proof generation. The AutoProof system is driven by full text XML files. In most cases, it only takes just a few minutes for the AutoProof system to return the fully composed PDF version of the manuscript to Preprint Manager and automatically update the production status. Preprint Manager can then be used to assign the PDF to authors for review and to traffic author corrections.
The Charlesworth AutoProof system can be integrated with other workflow systems and is also available via Allen Press Inc.
