Chegg and ICBA partner to deliver affordable textbook rentals to campuses in the US -

Textbook rental company Chegg, US, has announced a partnership with Independent College Bookstore Association (ICBA), a professional cooperative dedicated exclusively to institutional college stores, to bring low cost textbook rentals to ICBA college bookstores across the United States.

The partnership will enable independent college bookstores to deliver affordable textbook rentals with Chegg. As a benefit, Chegg will provide free ICBA membership for each store that partners with Chegg to provide a textbook rental solution.

In addition, Chegg will provide marketing collateral and campaigns to participating ICBA bookstores. Chegg currently partners with ICBA bookstores at Bowling Green State University, Kennesaw State University, University of Arizona, and Villanova University.

In addition to its current partnerships with more than 40 schools, Chegg's relationship with the ICBA is seen to be another step forward in bringing Chegg's rental solution to millions of students across the US.

Online textbook rentals have been growing in popularity for years. DeepDyve, a research engine for the Deep Web, recently announced that it closed the 2010 calendar year with strong growth marked by an ever-increasing number of publisher partners, as well as a rapidly expanding subscriber base. According to the company, traffic, subscribers and article rentals grew by more than 500 percent.
