CHEST Journal records 2025 Impact Factor of 10.2 -

The American College of Chest Physicians® (CHEST) has announced that its flagship journal, CHEST®, received a 2025 Journal Impact Factor of 10.2. The metric, released annually by Clarivate in the Journal Citation Reports, reflects the frequency with which a journal’s published research is cited and its contribution to scientific discourse.

As the flagship publication of CHEST, the journal publishes original research, evidence‑based guidelines, reviews, and other content addressing the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of chest diseases. It serves an international audience across pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine. Recently, CHEST® Critical Care, part of the CHEST portfolio, received its first Journal Impact Factor, marking a milestone in its development.

The CHEST portfolio continues to expand its reach through complementary multimedia activities. In 2025, the journal introduced a podcast hosted by Abhishek Bhardwaj, MD, which explores themes from the Humanities section and provides deeper discussions of Exhalations articles.

Further information about the CHEST journal portfolio is available on the CHEST website and through its social media channels.
