The Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CAMS) and ISPG (Independent Scholarly Publishers Group), a selection of High-Impact Scholarly journals hosted by HighWire Press, have signed a 3 year agreement for access to 37 key medical publications in Mainland China.
The Charlesworth Group, ISPG's exclusive agent in the region, helped secure the purchase of ISPG content by CAMS. CAMS is directly under the leadership of the Ministry of Health and is the main state-level academic center for medical sciences and a multidiscipline medical research in China.
CAMS aims to encourage high-quality research in biomedical science with the aim of improving people's health and reducing the death rate; to offer the best clinical diagnoses and treatments for severe and rare diseases; to promote the transition of research to clinical applications and to train first-rate medical professionals for research, clinical services and education.
ISPG is a coalition of independent publishers of high-impact journals and related academic content, hosted on the HighWire platform, which promotes, markets to, and negotiates with library consortia, hospitals and other organisations worldwide.
