Clarivate, a global leader in transformative intelligence, has announced a partnership with Iprova. The collaboration integrates Iprova’s invention management tools with IPfolio, Clarivate’s intellectual property (IP) management platform, aiming to facilitate a structured transition from idea generation to patent filing.
The partnership coincides with the release of Invention Studio 3, Iprova’s updated software designed to support the development of new inventions through AI-assisted processes. Hosted on Microsoft Azure, the platform enables organizations to systematically generate and manage intellectual property. The latest version introduces direct integration with IPfolio, allowing users to store, refine, and track inventions within a centralized system.
Gordon Samson, President of Intellectual Property at Clarivate, described the collaboration as an effort to improve the connectivity between inventors and attorneys in managing intellectual assets. He stated that the initiative aligns with ongoing efforts to integrate advanced technology into the innovation and patent process, ensuring a more structured approach to knowledge and intellectual property development.
Julian Nolan, CEO and Founder of Iprova, highlighted the role of Invention Studio 3 in expanding access to invention processes across industries. He noted that the partnership with Clarivate supports a more integrated workflow from ideation to patent submission, reinforcing the role of intellectual property in commercial and technological advancement.
Clarivate has also recently acquired Rowan Patents, an AI-powered patent drafting platform, as part of broader efforts to expand its suite of IP management solutions. The company’s integration of technologies from Iprova and Rowan Patents reflects a trend toward greater automation and efficiency in the intellectual property sector.
