Clarivate has extended its collaboration with EveryLibrary, a non-partisan organization focused on advocating for libraries across the United States. The renewed partnership, which includes increased financial support, will continue through 2026 and is intended to advance EveryLibrary’s work in protecting and promoting the role of libraries nationwide.
Clarivate has supported EveryLibrary since 2023 and remains committed to furthering the organization’s mission to champion literacy, equitable access to information, and community engagement. The collaboration reflects a shared interest in strengthening the infrastructure that enables libraries to serve as essential public institutions.
Through Clarivate’s support, EveryLibrary has been able to advance several key initiatives. These include the development of a new report examining the role of academic libraries in the accreditation process for higher education institutions, as well as convening national-level discussions on library policy and higher education in both conference settings and scholarly publications. These efforts aim to equip library leaders with tools to anticipate changes and prepare for the evolving demands of the academic landscape.
The ongoing partnership will also bolster EveryLibrary’s broader efforts to protect the future of libraries and uphold the right to read. Areas of focus include advancing model legislation in partnership with state library associations, mobilizing public support, offering pro bono consulting services to libraries, and assisting with local library funding campaigns.
The newly released report, Institutional Accreditation and the Academic Library: A Strategy for Engagement and Representation, outlines how academic library professionals can engage in accreditation standards reviews, contribute feedback, and influence revisions that shape the academic library’s strategic role.
