Clarivate introduces AI-powered Regulatory Assistant within Cortellis suite -

Clarivate, a global leader in transformative intelligence, has announced the beta launch of its AI-powered Regulatory Assistant within Cortellis Regulatory Intelligence. The tool is intended to support regulatory professionals in navigating complex and frequently changing global requirements with greater efficiency and confidence. Developed with customer input and tested by industry partners, the beta version has been designed around the practical needs of biopharma, medtech, and research organizations. Clarivate plans to make the Regulatory Assistant available to all Cortellis Regulatory Intelligence users in September, with further enhancements aimed at improving usability, personalization, and decision support.

The beta version introduces several features. A conversational AI interface enables users to pose regulatory questions in natural language and receive precise, cited responses, reducing the time typically spent on manual searches. A chat history function allows users to resume prior inquiries, ensuring continuity and more personalized interactions. Multilingual functionality supports search and interaction across preferred languages, offering a tailored user experience.

The company emphasized that the launch responds to the increasing complexity and pace of regulatory environments. The new tool has been positioned as a milestone in providing regulatory teams with intuitive, AI-driven capabilities that can enhance productivity, facilitate compliance, and reflect actual workflows and priorities.

Industry participants involved in beta testing reported that the tool offers substantial time and resource savings compared to traditional manual search processes. Early use has shown improvements in responding to internal inquiries and conducting intelligence work, with positive feedback on Clarivate’s approach of incorporating client input into ongoing development to improve accuracy, usability, and relevance.

Clarivate stated that the launch builds on its existing portfolio of intelligence solutions, advanced data technologies, and AI capabilities, which collectively aim to provide insight and foresight across the product lifecycle, from discovery through commercialization. The Regulatory Assistant draws on the same AI platform that underpins solutions such as Web of Science and integrates more than three decades of regulatory expertise. According to Clarivate, this combination is intended to help professionals keep pace with global regulatory changes, interpret complex requirements, and make faster, more assured decisions.
