Clarivate launches Web of Science Research Intelligence platform for institutions -

Clarivate has announced the global launch of Web of Science Research Intelligence, an AI‑native platform designed to support research institutions in areas such as funding, strategy, and impact assessment. The platform is now available worldwide.

Developed in collaboration with the research community, including more than 50 development partners and early adopters across 20 countries, the platform combines curated Clarivate data with academic AI to assist research offices, library teams, and researchers in securing funding, strengthening collaboration, informing strategy, and demonstrating societal impact.

Web of Science Research Intelligence integrates fragmented data and embeds academic AI into research workflows, enabling faster analysis, more confident decisions, and clearer communication of research value. Its Societal Impact Framework provides multidimensional indicators to help institutions assess contributions to policy, practice, and broader social outcomes. AI‑guided workflows extend advanced analytical capabilities beyond specialist teams, allowing wider participation in research planning and strategy.

The platform connects Clarivate data across the research lifecycle, including publications, patents, funding, policy documents, and clinical trials, creating a single foundation for decision‑making. Built on publisher‑neutral Web of Science Core Collection data, it provides the quality, consistency, and traceability required for institutional decisions.

Institutions can use the platform to discover funding opportunities, identify experts, build collaboration networks, explore emerging research areas, report on performance, and analyze societal impact. Unlike general AI tools that rely on unverified sources, Web of Science Research Intelligence generates insights grounded in curated data, with transparency into how analyses are created.

Clarivate emphasized that the platform has been shaped through ongoing collaboration with research institutions worldwide, ensuring alignment with real‑world workflows and adoption across diverse teams. Its global network of development partners continues to inform its evolution through practical use cases.
