Clarivate Plc, a global leader in transformative intelligence, has been selected by the National and University Library in Zagreb (NSK) to create a unified library services and discovery platform. The NSK, Croatia’s central cultural and research institution, will implement Clarivate’s Ex Libris Alma and Ex Libris Primo solutions to streamline its library infrastructure and services.
As both the National Library of Croatia and the University of Zagreb’s main library, the NSK plays a critical role in preserving the country’s cultural and scientific heritage. By adopting this unified platform, the NSK aims to integrate various library systems and data formats into a modern, efficient structure that supports academic and research institutions.
The platform will be rolled out to the wider academic community in Croatia, including nine universities and 82 libraries, all benefiting from a cloud-based subscription service. This initiative is expected to enhance the delivery of library services, improve resource accessibility, and foster a more connected national library system.
The collaboration underscores Clarivate’s commitment to supporting global educational and research institutions in developing innovative, technology-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency and facilitate better access to knowledge. The project is a significant step towards modernizing Croatia’s library ecosystem and advancing its digital capabilities in the academic sector.
