Language service provider CLS Communication has acquired 4-Text Software-Lokalisierung und technische Übersetzungen GmbH, a Berlin-based quality provider of technical documentation. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The former owners of the company will support the integration phase for an agreed period.
Like CLS Communication, 4-Text was founded in 1997. The company has more than 60 highly qualified employees and works with a network of select external partners. All internal and external employees have a technical university degree and/or industry-specific expertise. The technology platform developed by 4-Text is tailored to the requirements of industrial clients and to technical documentation.
While CLS and 4-Text have comparable business models, the two companies are seen to be an excellent complement to one another in terms of client base, industry focus and geographical area of activity. 4-Text will now operate in the market under the new name CLS 4-Text GmbH. Marie-Laure Vinckx, current CEO, will continue to head the company.
