Information services provider Thomson Reuters, US, has announced that the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI) has selected Web of Knowledge for 72 of its member universities.
Under the agreement, CRUI has renewed its current subscription for 60 universities for another four years. Also, it has increased its subscription to include an additional 12 universities, taking the total subscription to 72. CRUI's subscription to Web of Knowledge includes access to Web of Science and Journal Citation Reports (JCR).
Web of Science will provide researchers, administrators, and students at CRUI's member universities with access to the world's leading citation databases with more than 12,000 of the highest impact journals worldwide. This will include Open Access journals and research dating back to 1900.
JCR will enable CRUI and its members to critically evaluate the world's leading journals, with quantifiable, statistical information based on citation data. Further, it will allow universities to measure research influence and impact providing valuable benchmarking information with peer institutions around the world.
