Copyright Clearance Center acquires Ixxus -

Global licensing and content solutions provider Copyright Clearance Center, Inc. (CCC) has acquired London-based Ixxus, a software professional services firm and leading provider of publishing solutions that reinvent the way organisations work with content. With offices in the UK, US, Spain and Romania, Ixxus is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of CCC. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

According to The Radicati Group, the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) market will grow from $5.5 billion in 2014 to more than $9.4 billion in 2018. This is an average annual growth of 15% over that timeframe. The Ixxus proposition goes beyond the traditional ECM offering, combining content modeling, semantic linking and advanced workflow capabilities to support the publishing process from end to end and deliver truly 'smart content.'

CCC is widely recognized as a team of consultative problem-solvers who respond to customers' needs with unique solutions combining rights, content and technology. As it explores opportunities to extend the value of licensing through new service offerings with the Ixxus business, CCC will continue to expand its presence in the publishing market through ongoing product development and sales of its RightsLink® permissions and author services SaaS products. The company will also continue to offer SaaS-based content workflow, text and data mining and document delivery solutions for the corporate sector through its RightFind™ content solution suite.
