Credo Reference expands content to include EBSCO Publishing linking -

Online reference library Credo Reference, US, and electronic research databases provider EBSCO Publishing, US, have announced a new custom linking agreement. Mutual customers will now be able to expand their searches and easily link from one resource into the other.

Credo can now offer custom linking results to related subjects in EBSCOhost. The linking agreement will allow Credo customers to start a search in Credo Reference and continue the same search into EBSCOhost. Similarly, EBSCOhost users can search for related subjects through Credo Reference.

Credo offers full text reference services for libraries and information centres with a collection of over 400 subject encyclopaedias and other reference works consisting of 3.1 million entries, all interconnected by millions of links. EBSCOhost claims to be the most-used research platform available and provides close to 300 databases comprising one of the largest collection of online databases.

Credo's content is available through EBSCOhost CustomLinks, a library of linking resources that allows libraries to link to full-text databases, OPACS, ILL systems, free resources and search engines. EBSCO has a deep linking library and is also able to create a variety of different CustomLinks for use with EBSCOhost databases upon request. Credo Reference will provide access to EBSCOhost content through its Resource Links technology. Credo's customers can provide links for their users to a wide range of resources, such as journal databases, OPACs, search engines and free resources.
