Science and Research Content

De Gruyter acquires Düsseldorf University Press -

Academic publisher De Gruyter has acquired Düsseldorf University Press (DUP), effective January 1, 2018.

Düsseldorf University Press was founded in 2008 with the objective of publishing research from Heinrich-Heine-University (HHU) in Düsseldorf, Germany, and from other universities. Publications include scholarly monographs, collections and series to dissertations, Festschriften, textbooks and study materials as well as scientific guidebooks. DUP also offers early career researchers an opportunity to make their research results available to a larger spectrum of the general public.

Researchers - not only those at the Heinrich-Heine-University - will have a wide variety of options to present their content to the relevant parts of the scientific community using either DUP, De Gruyter or De Gruyter's publishing services division, Sciendo. Both legacy and open access publishing models are possible with all options.

De Gruyter will maintain a contact point for researchers in Düsseldorf and is creating a scientific advisory board to coordinate interaction between researchers and the publisher.
