Phonetica, which features research on sound production phenomena in the languages of the world, has been published by Karger since its inception in 1957. As of the 2021 volume, the journal will be published under the imprint De Gruyter Mouton – one of the most prominent programs of academic literature in the field of linguistics worldwide.
As part of the De Gruyter journal portfolio, Phonetica will benefit from being placed within its full scientific context for the first time, and the research published in Phonetica will be complemented by a broad range of related De Gruyter content in the various subdisciplines of linguistics as well as other adjacent, related fields.
