Academic publisher De Gruyter and Maruzen-Yushodo have entered into an exclusive sales and distribution partnership for all subscription journals owned and distributed by the Berlin-based publisher, with effect from the 2020 subscription year.
Under the arrangement, Maruzen-Yushodo will assume responsibility for promoting De Gruyter’s Portfolio of 345 subscription journals and yearbooks to the Japanese academic, government and corporate markets, as well as for gathering and processing renewals, on an exclusive basis.
De Gruyter and Maruzen-Yushodo will work together to ensure a seamless transition to the new arrangements for journals subscribers and subscription agents in Japan, more details of which will be available shortly.
