Academic publisher De Gruyter and The University of Chicago Press have formed a commercial partnership for the global distribution of 2,500 University of Chicago Press frontlist and backlist e-book titles on degruyter.com.
Furthermore, De Gruyter and the University of Chicago Press will partner to scan the Press's archive of approximately 6,000 undigitised titles. De Gruyter will have exclusive marketing and sales rights for that archive collection for three years once the digitisation is complete.
The University of Chicago Press published its first book in 1892, and since then has published more than 11,000 books for scholars, students, and general readers. It has more than 5,000 books in print.
