De Gruyter implements CCC’s licensing solution for readers to republish or reuse content -

Copyright Clearance Center, Inc. (CCC), a global licensing and content solutions organisation, has announced that academic publisher De Gruyter has implemented CCC's RightsLink, a technology solution that allows visitors to the De Gruyter website to license journal content quickly and easily for republishing or reuse.

De Gruyter publishes over 1,300 new titles each year in the humanities, sciences, medicine and law, more than 700 subscription-based or Open Access journals, and a variety of digital products. De Gruyter recently announced it will be automating the collection and management of author charges using CCC's RightsLink for Open Access integrated within its existing Aries Systems' Editorial Manager workflow.

RightsLink enables publishers to provide immediate online permissions to licensees, eliminate costs associated with manual permission transactions and allows permissions staff to focus on high-value transactions. Each implementation is configured to support the publisher's unique business and pricing rules and offers reporting tools that help publishers analyze their permissions business and identify areas of growth.
