Academic publisher De Gruyter has signed an agreement to provide CzechELib, the National Centre for Electronic Information Resources of the Czech Republic, with access to its journal collections. The agreement also provides authors affiliated to the subscribing institutions with an open access publishing option in both hybrid and ‘gold’ De Gruyter open access journals with no further costs.
The subscribing institutions in 2019 are the Czech National Library of Technology and the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, the Mendel University in Brno and the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen.
CzechELib supports the central purchase of key electronic information resources – such as De Gruyter’s journal collections – for member institutions to expand the amount of available research resources for academic institutions in the Czech Republic.
