Open access publisher Dove Medical Press, UK, has announced an alliance with Athena Healthcare Consultancy, a Shanghai-based pharmaceutical medical marketing consultancy.
Under the deal, Dove has appointed Athena as its exclusive partner for Mainland China and Hong Kong. Both companies will work together to enhance the opportunities for publishing clinical research/basic science and extend medical communications within the healthcare communities.
The rate of publication growth in China is reportedly the fastest in the world. By working with Athena, Dove seeks to further improve its service to authors in Mainland China and Hong Kong. The peer-reviewed open access publishing model operated by Dove, with the support of Athena, is expected to provide Chinese authors with the potential to reach a wider audience and readership in a faster publication time frame.
Dove Medical Press is a privately held publisher of open access peer-reviewed journals across the broad spectrum of science, technology and especially medicine.
