Earthscan acquires 'Architectural Science Review' journal from Sydney University -

Independent publisher Earthscan, UK, has announced the acquisition of the Architectural Science Review journal from the University of Sydney, Australia.

Founded by Professor Henry Cowan in 1958, Architectural Science Review is in its 51st volume. The journal seeks to cover all areas of architectural science including building science and technology; environmental science and sustainability; structures and materials; audio, acoustic, illumination and thermal systems; building services and ergonomics; building economics; history and theory of architectural science, and the social sciences of architecture and the built environment. From 2009 (Volume 52), Richard Hyde, Professor of Architectural Science at the University of Sydney, will succeed Prof. Gary Moore as Editor-in-Chief.

The latest title is seen to add to the rapidly growing portfolio of journals and books in the field of built environment published by Earthscan. These include Advances in Building Energy Research, Architectural Engineering & Design Management and the newly launched Intelligent Buildings International.

Earthscan, which has been into publishing for 20 years, is focused on the topics of environment, development and sustainability. Its publications are designed with both the academic and professional user in mind, offering print and electronic subscriptions to institutions and personal subscribers, and flexible access via multisite and corporate licensing and pay-per-view options.
