E-books and research technology provider ebrary, US, has announced a partnership with DA Information Services, Australia's largest locally-based academic library service supplier.
The deal is stated to make authoritative content from leading publishers more readily and easily available to libraries in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and PNG. Libraries may now seamlessly integrate ebrary's e-books into their acquisition workflow by ordering perpetual titles directly through DA Direct or their normal EDI workflow.
DA Information Services seeks to offer libraries a comprehensive collection development service with flexible profile parameters. E-preferred and e-only approval plans and blanket orders can be specified, including a hierarchy of e-book acquisition preferences. Additionally, it offers libraries a monthly New Title Alert service, which allows customers to receive relevant information via e-mail in their specific fields of interest.
